On the 28th of April, it was my 8th birthday. We went down to Denia, which is a port in Alicante, which is South of Valencia. We went to see our landlord and his wife who live there. They gave us a tour all around Denia. Then they took us to lunch at a restaurant which belonged to some friends of theirs. It was right on the edge of the sea. We had paella. We all liked it, and ate heaps.
When we got back to their apartment, Inna had baked some chocolate filled brioches and gave us some chocolate. I had two pieces. They also gave me a present. It was a blow-up dolphin for using in the pool.
Then went to a hotel in the countryside. We had a big room, and we ordered room service for dinner. I had a pizza.
The next morning, we drove back out to the coast to Benidorm. We went to Terra Mitica which is a theme park. It is set up in sections which have been made to look like ancient Greece, ancient Rome, ancient Egypt, ancient Iberia, and the ancient islands.
There were lots of rides, the first one we went on was a water flume ride. I was a bit scared because it went up high, then you splashed back down into the water. One time you even did it backwards! But it was lots of fun.
Next, we went on a ride called the Minotaur. We sat in a car, which went around the ride on rails. There were yellow lights we had to shoot. We liked it so much we stayed on the car and went around again. Mummy and Daddy were the best at it. Mummy won one time, and Daddy won one time.
Then we watched a 5D movie, it was funny. I liked it.
After that we went on a small roller coaster. I went two times because I really loved it. And then we went on another water ride, where we sat in a round boat with a wheel in the middle. It took you along a fast river, with rapids, and in the middle of the ride there was a waterfall which you go under. We got a bit wet! Lucky we were wearing our coats, so we didn’t get too wet. We were watching some other people doing it, and the people who didn’t wear raincoats or ponchos got soaking wet!
Then we went on a boring boat ride around all the different ‘countries’.
On the way home, we stopped at McDonalds for dinner. Then we went home.
The next week, I had my birthday party at the laser games. I came second in the whole tournament. You had a gun and you had to shoot the other person’s glowed-up armour. We played two games, but there was a long time in between each game, so Mummy took us all, and some of the other mums to two short 5D movies. One was about a portal to different alien planets, and one was a rat race, which was great. Then we went back and had yummy food to eat, and I opened my presents. I got some cool Ninjago Lego from one of my best friends.
We had two different cakes, one was chocolate, and one was strawberry.
Then we played another game of laser game.
On the weekend, Mummy and Daddy took me to the bike shop, and bought me a cool bike. It is red and white, and it has a drink bottle, and lights. I got a new helmet, too.
The next weekend, we went to the Oceanagraphic in Valencia city. It is near the Science Museum. It is a marine park.
We walked all around the park and looked at all the sea animals. Then we went and watched the dolphin show. It was people who were diving, and swimming around with the dolphins. I liked the big dolphin. I enjoyed it a lot.
The next day, which was Sunday, we all caught a train into Valencia again, to see the Athletic Club versus Levante UD football game. Daddy had been given some free tickets for us to go. The trains were really full of people going to the game.
It was a great match. Levante had one penalty. Levante won the game 3-0, which meant they could go into the European Cup. But they decided not to.
All their supporters rushed onto the field at the end of the game. The supporters had been singing all through the game. We did some Mexican waves around the stadium.
We came home very late that night, on the train again.
